One thing that is super important to us is community involvement. Each year we volunteer with a number of organizations in Waterloo Region that provide services and funding across a wide range of community needs. Here are a few that are near and dear to our hearts!

Waterloo Track Three Ski School is an organization designed specifically for kids with disabilities to learn how to ski or snowboard. For the last 13 years Jessica and I have had the honor to help with this organization. We were able to see one of our students become an instructor themselves. It’s such an amazing opportunity for these kids and families!

The Food Bank is an organization we have all heard of and more than likely donated to at some point. Through the years we have been involved with some extra creative ways to donate and volunteer with the local Food Bank. Most years you can find us out singing Christmas carols with the Avondale Carolors, signing loudly and hauling food donations through the snow from the amazing neighbors in the community. We also had the pleasure of entering a company team in the Great Food Sort Challenge at Food Bank. It was not only a rewarding experience, but a super fun time with the team!

Habitat for Humanity is an organization that helps families in need realize the dream of home ownership. Through donations and volunteers, this organization builds homes for families in need. We gathered up a few of the guys from the office and got our hands dirty and actually put down a whole sub- floor for a townhouse that was soon occupied by one of these families. What a great day!

Easter Seals Ontario Kids To Camp is an organization that helps kids with disabilities go to summer camp! Each year we volunteer on our office Easter Seals committee and help organize and run events such as charity golfing, hot cocoa for kids, and karaoke competitions, just to name a few, with our company Century 21 Heritage House Ltd raising $24,000 in 2020! Since 1979, CENTURY 21 Canada has raised more than $12 million in support of local Easter Seals organizations, and have provided the opportunity for over 5,750 children and youth to enjoy and benefit from transformative and affirming experiences at  Easter Seals camps, where they can have fun, push their boundaries in a safe and supportive environment, build and strengthen skills, and cultivate friendships and memories that will last a life-time.
